A
theater graduate of San Jose State University, Ted
Kopulos has been acting, directing, writing and
composing for the stage for over 30 years and 100
productions.
He
has had a number of original plays produced
including Parlour Games, Doubles, and
Golden Gates, as well as musical adaptations
Kulyenchikov (from Neil Simon's
Fools), and It's Your Year, Charlie
Brown, which he wrote and composed for the
opening of the Charles M. Schulz Museum. He also
compiled and edited the final published version of
the stage play The Martian Chronicles by Ray
Bradbury.
Ted's
current projects include the book, music, and
lyrics for The Poptimists, a new satire on
the clean-cut upbeat touring groups of the late
1960's. Also, a new adaptation of the Dumas classic
The Count of Monte Cristo, and his ongoing
efforts to secure the rights to produce his musical
version of Calvin and Hobbes.
A
published writer of science fiction, Ted has three
Star Trek short stories in Strange New Worlds
Volumes IV, V & VI.
Ted's
voice has been heard on South Bay radio as the
"Movie Guy" and/or morning show co-host on KOME,
KSJO, KHTT and most recently, on the Greg Kihn show
on KFOX Radio.
As
a director and actor, Ted has worked with most of
the major groups in the South Bay, and co-founded
TheaterWest in Los Gatos, California. You can hear
